His talent and charisma soon caught the eye of producers, leading to his participation in the well-known TV show Asathapovathu Yaru on Sun TV. This exposure opened doors to numerous stage performances, and eventually, he set his sights on the cinema industry, aspiring to become an actor.
From Actor to Director and Producer
As Mahavishnu continued to make a name for himself in cinema, his ambitions grew. He decided to transition from acting to directing, pouring his creativity into writing several scripts. His passion didn’t stop there; he also aspired to become a producer. Taking his first step in this direction, he ventured into film distribution, successfully distributing the movie Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru in Kerala.
Buoyed by this success, he received the backing of two financiers to begin his production journey. However, life threw unexpected challenges his way—both his father and his executive producer passed away during the early stages of his project. Undeterred, Mahavishnu resolved to push forward, determined to succeed in the cinema industry.

In a bid to make his mark, Mahavishnu planned to produce a movie with a modest budget of 30-40 lakhs, hoping to sell it to a streaming platform like Netflix for a substantial profit. He titled his script Double XL and sought inspiration through meditation at the samadhi of Kanchi Viswanatha Swamigal. However, for the first time, he found himself at a loss for words—days passed, and he couldn’t write even a single line.
Frustrated and confused, Mahavishnu decided to ask for divine guidance. On the sixth day, standing before the statue of Kanchi Viswanatha Swamigal, he questioned why he was unable to write. As if in response, his phone chimed with a notification. To his astonishment, it was a comment on a short film he had previously posted on YouTube. The comment read, “You have many talents, but God’s wish is not for you to become a director. God wishes for you to become a person of true wisdom and help those who suffer.”

This revelation left Mahavishnu in deep contemplation. Unsure about what it meant to become a person of wisdom, he sought further confirmation from his guru. When he asked Kanchi Viswanatha Swamigal for guidance, a bird outside began chirping continuously, which Mahavishnu took as a sign that his guru would support him on this new path.
He then asked whether he should quit the cinema entirely. In response, the lights in the samadhi suddenly went out, and Mahavishnu saw his shadow cast on the guru’s photo. Feeling a divine energy enter him, Mahavishnu made the life-altering decision to leave the cinema industry and pursue a path of wisdom.

Mahavishnu immediately shared his decision with a close friend, who was equally amazed by the series of divine signs. As they spoke, the bell in the samadhi rang out, further affirming his choice. With this newfound clarity, Mahavishnu returned to Tirupur, fully committed to walking the path of wisdom and dedicating himself to the Paramporul Foundation.
